HF2164 amendment: Stopping aquatic invasive species

This amendment to the Omnibus Environment Policy bill addressed the growing threat of aquatic invasive species (AIS) to our lakes and rivers by increasing the penalties for boaters who don’t properly check and clean their watercraft. The amendment passed and was included in the final version of the bill signed into law by Governor Dayton.

What Would Happen?

A "YES" vote increased the penalties for boaters who don't take proper precautions to stop the spread of aquatic invasive species.
