SF1830 amendment: Protecting Minnesota’s wetlands

The Senate Environment Policy bill contained provisions that make it easier to drain or fill wetlands by removing requirements that they be replaced. This amendment, introduced on the Senate floor, strips out those provisions and ensures that Minnesota’s “no net loss” policy for wetlands stays strong. The amendment failed and was not adopted.

What Would Happen?

A "YES" vote keeps Minnesota's laws protecting wetlands strong.

A "NO" vote makes it easier to fill and drain wetlands.

How The Senate Voted
